Basingstoke Nepalese Community

Serving Nepalese people in the UK since 2006

बेजिङस्टोक नेपाली समाज

WELCOME

Basingstoke is the largest town in Hampshire County of south-west England which is located under an hour’s drive from London. According to the Census 2021 UK, total population of Basingstoke and Deane was 185200.

The earliest Nepali settlement goes back to around 2003 when the Nepalese families started to live here. With time pass by the Basingstoke Nepalese Community (BNC) was established in 2006 to help and support Nepalese and their culture in the UK from the dedicated volunteer founders in a challenging time. Now, about 700 individual paid life members and their family have gained membership of the BNC.

The BNC is a multicultural and multilingual organisation that organises and celebrates various events; help and support programs. We now focus on the institutional sustainability of the BNC keeping in mind that a sustainable community institution can offer many solutions to overcome the grassroots challenges we are facing every day in our society.

United we stand, divided we fall.
